アメリカンコミックスを原作とした1994年の映画「マスク」は、冴えない男が川で拾ったマスクを身に着けることにより、超人的な力を持った緑色の怪人に変身して、大活躍するという痛快アクションコメディでした。
この映画でお人好しの銀行員スタンリーと緑色の怪人を演じたジム・キャリーは一躍人気者となり、共演のヒロイン、ティナを演じたキャメロン・ディアスもそのセクシーな魅力で一躍ブレイクしたのでした。
本映像はその「マスク」シリーズの新作のようですが、映像を見る限り、ダークでホラーチックな作品となっているようです。
それともやはり思いきりコメディーということもありえます。
